What do you typically do on vacation? Get away from it all, lounge in the sun, do a few activities, then pack it up and head back into the real world. What if you did something different for your next trip? There are other options out there you know, you can travel the world and help people, villages, and animals. Check out this slideshow for more earth conscious vacation ideas.
He Did What?
Here’s some fun traveling news. In no part do I condone sneaking illegal material on your person when you travel, but a
man tried to pass through LAX with 15 live lizards strapped to his chest. First of all, who can deal with lizards squirming and scratching on their chest and second of all what amount of money is worth jail? What do you think of the situation?
Rest Stop Shortage
For those of you who are braving the highway this holiday season, plan accordingly. There’s a lack of rest stops . I can’t imagine not having a rest stop when I go on long trips alone. Its the place I go to get a soda out of the machine, rest my legs, and give my dog a break for a few minutes before I continue on my next leg. What do they (the government) expect drivers to do when they get sleepy? Keep driving? What do you think?

Get Away on a Brewery Tour
Does the thought of snow-covered mountains or Clydesdales make you thirsty? Did you ever want to know more about hops? Do you like beer?
Go on a road trip to MillerCoors Brewery in Golden or the Anheuser Busch Brewery is in Fort Collins (about 70 miles).
The Anheuser Busch tour takes visitors through the process of beer making and includes free samples for those 21 and over. The Fort Collins location houses some of the famous Budweiser Clydesdales. There is also a Brewmaster Tour that gives guests a closer view of the brewery, including getting the chance to taste the beer throughout the brewing process and receiving a commemorative gift. One thing to note is the Brewmaster Tour requires reservations, a few simple safety restrictions (pants and closed toe shoes) and it’s $25 per guest.
The MillerCoors Tour takes place at the largest single-site brewery in the world. Tour the brewhouse, malthouse and packaging complex before ending with a sample of your favorite products.
